這是為要使以色列人把他們在田野裏所獻的祭帶到會幕門口、耶和華面前，交給祭司，獻與耶和華為平安祭。 5 This is so the Israelites will bring to the LORD the sacrifices they are now making in the open fields. They must bring them to the priest, that is, to the LORD, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and sacrifice them as fellowship offerings. 17:5 Traditionally （（peace offerings））

祭司要把血灑在會幕門口、耶和華的壇上，把脂油焚燒，獻給耶和華為馨香的祭。 6 The priest is to sprinkle the blood against the altar of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

「論到一切活物的生命，就在血中。所以我對以色列人說：無論甚麼活物的血，你們都不可吃，因為一切活物的血就是他的生命。凡吃了血的，必被剪除。 14 because the life of every creature is its blood. That is why I have said to the Israelites, 「You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off.」
